Untouchable
Like a manifested dream
Unreachable
Like the clouds above
Denied, Martyred, Freed
Acceptance rejected
Sent to another plane
Cognizance realized
Anticipation resent
Sorrow in the shallows
Joy in the skies

This is accurate as of 6/17/99...I try to update it every now and then...

Name: Faye Locke (no, it's not my real name)

Birthdate: September 26, 1978

Sign: Libra, which explains why I don't get along with about everybody .. ask me and I'll explain :)

What I look like: Long, light brown hair that can be curly or straight depending on the weather. Dark hazel eyes (they look brown, only hazel if you look really close). 5'7"

Occupation: Currently, I am a temp at a freight company. I really like my job and I hope I get to stay there... I have worked as a waitress for two years, oh that was NOT FUN and I hope I never have to do that again!

School: I am a student at the local state universtity. I have changed my major to Microbiology now, instead ofgenetic engineering. Playing with bacteria is fun! I think I my focus is more toward disease pathology and vectors... it's much more field oriented and not nearly so tedious as genetics. I tested out of a semester (thank goodness), so I am a little ahead of the rest of my class. I was also lucky enough to get a scholarship, otherwise it would be off to the junior college for me.

Pets: Just about everything, at one time or another. Right now, 6 mice (only two have names, Suede and Patcholi), a rat, Akasha, some fish (guppies, goldfish, corries) and cats! (My personal cat is Copernicus, a red Grand Premier in CFA (that is, he's a neuter)). I have had, at one time or another, frogs, hamsters, rabbits, dogs, finches, guinea pigs, toads.. sure I am forgetting something. I love all animals! The more the better, as far as I am concerned.

Family: I am the third of four children. I don't identify real well with my siblings, nor do they identify with me. I am pretty sure I have middle child syndrome. :) Sibs ages are 25, 24, and 18.

Personality: You mean you haven't guessed yet? When I am not being silly, I am usually pretty sarcastic. I have been told that if I would tune down the sarcasm - or cut it out altogether - I would have more friends. But I am not about to sacrifice my individuality or my "personality" for popularity and modern conventions. Those people who do call me their friend are very laid back, and are smart enough to realize the difference between sarcasm and a real insult.

Vampires: My primary interest is probably vampires, in both reading and writing. No, I DO NOT ROLEPLAY. I don't want to be a vampire, and I am pretty sure, if vampires really existed, I would not even want to meet one. Probably because they'd see me as lunch - or dinner(?) - rather than a possible friend or something beyond a friend. But I still find them very fascinating.

Writing: I love to write, both fiction and poetry, when the mood strikes me. I really hope that one day I might get published, but I don't plan on writing being my primary career. Most of my writing centers on vampires, though I have beem dabbling in fanfiction to practice and mature my style.

Books: I read a whole lot! CS Friedman, Laurell K. Hamilton, Raymond Feist, David Eddings, Mercedes Lackey, Barbara Hambly, Robin McKinley, Melenie Rawn, Meredith Ann Pierce, and Robert Jordan are some of my favorites. See my book suggestions page for a list of books I think are a good read.

Music that I play: The only instrument I play is the piano (I'm not real good, but I can play sufficient enough to be pleasing to the ear). I like to play Enya songs (and similar) as well as some classical pieces.

Music that I listen to: Enya, Maire, Clannad, Depeche Mode, Carman, Crystal Method, some Enigma, and most classical music.

TV: The Pretender, Psi Factor, X-Files, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Babylon 5

Martial Arts: I am currently a purple belt in Tae-Kwon-Do, and I really enjoy martial arts. Probably that aggressive streak in me. :)

Paintball!: hahaha, I love to play! It just costs too much to go often! I used to play at least once a month; now it's been nearly a year since I have gone and I almost feel there is an empty place in my life... :) I am sure that I will get back to playing again, eventually, when I get time.

Ren Faires: I have recently gotten into going to Renaissance Faires. I love the ren faires, people are so much fun there! The people there are from normal to a variety of really strange, which means I fit right in! I have three costumes now, both that I made (one with a LOT of maternal aide, and another a friend pretty much made for me, and the third that I made all by myself), one of which I made without a pattern. I am working always thinking on my next costume - or costume piece.

Love Life: Someone pointed out that I needed to put this up here, that people wanted to know this sort of thing... WHY!?

What I am forgetting? Oh well, I will probably remember later! Hey, if there is more I need to put up, all you need to do is tell me. :)
